Remote Access

The University Library has subscribed to the MyLOFT (My Library On Fingertips) platform, a modern library remote access application designed to help users seamlessly access electronic resources subscribed by our university anytime, anywhere. 

Please follow these steps to use MyLoft through your system (Laptop or Desktop): 

  • Step 1: Please click the link and sign in using Google Single Sign In with your Ahmedabad University email ID.
  • Step 2: Add Extension and add to the Chrome browser
  • Step 3: Now you are in MyLoft  (You may skip the initial customising options)

Please follow the steps below to use the MyLoft Mobile application

  • Step 1: Download the MyLOFT Mobile App (available on iOS (Apple store) and Android (Google Play Store)).
  • Step 2: Enter the name of the Institute as "Ahmedabad University"
  • Step 3: Open the app or extension and choose "Sign in with Google".
  • Step 4: Sign in to the Myloft mobile application using Google Single Sign-On with your Ahmedabad University email ID.  
  • Step 5: Now you are in MyLoft (You may skip the initial customising options)

In the MyLoft search, you may choose to search through MyLoft, Summon Discovery, or Google.

Important Note: The RemotXs service will no longer be available from May 30, 2026. To ensure uninterrupted access to library resources and enhanced research support, all library users are requested to download and use MyLOFT. Please note that the MyLOFT browser extension is compatible only with Chrome or Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, and we strongly recommend using Google Chrome for the smoothest off-campus access experience. MyLOFT will not function on browsers such as Safari or Firefox. If you encounter any issues during the setup process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
