University Library System supports the University in becoming a world-class, research-based learning space. Research Support is an ultimate way to improve research productivity with the help of library resources, library services and information and communication technology (ICT) aids. It may decrease time, efforts and energy and increase innovative and original research outcomes. Library has been actively engaged in designing and delivering need based information services.

As far as research is concerned, Library shall support faculty and researchers during the following steps of Research:

Literature Search

The University Library System supports literature search by providing search tips, identification and evaluation of resources on your research topics. You may consult our subject librarians with your topics or write to [email protected]. They may help you in identifying peer reviewed contents.

Plagiarism Check

University Library System has access to Turnitin and Urkund similarity check software. All the faculty/TA have been provided access to Turnitin. Students can send word/PDF documents to [email protected] for Plagiarism Check. 

Reference Management

University Library System has subscribed EndNote (Proprietary Software) for Reference Management. Users can access Endnote through both browser based (online version) and desktop based version. Students will have to set their login credentials for using Endnote. Library regularly conducts training sessions on EndNote usage. Students may contact [email protected]  for Serial Number and Product Key. Library also supports through open source software Mendeley and Zotero.

Research Impact Analysis

Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS)

University Library System has set up Indian Research Information Network System (IRINS) a web-based Research Information Management (RIM) service developed by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre. IRINS portal simplifies the work of faculty members and scientists in collecting, curating and showcasing the scholarly communication activities and it provides an opportunity to create their own scholarly network. It has been integrated with an ORCID ID, Scopus ID, Research ID, Microsoft Academic ID and Google Scholar ID for ingesting the scholarly publication from various sources. Faculty will have to login to IRINS portal to update their profile. They may contact [email protected] for login credentials.

SCOPUS

Library has subscription to a citation database `Scopus’ from Elsevier publishers.  Library does research impact analysis through the quality indicators h-Index, CiteScore, SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) and SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) of Scopus.  It generates various reports such as Citations, Number of publications, Collaborations, Sponsors, etc. The details can be obtained by writing to [email protected].
