Welcome to My Mother's Tongue
An Open Mic to celebrate International Mother Language Day
Instructions:
The Open Mic is open to all students. Those interested should register at the registration desk, which will open 15 minutes before the event. A maximum of 25-30 participants will be allowed to participate on a first-come-first-served basis.
The maximum time given to each performance will be three minutes.
No back-to-back or multiple performances by the same participant will be allowed.
Students should restrict themselves to presenting one of the following in their mother language: poem, song, or joke, with a short brief in English or Hindi.
The content must be mindful and must not adversely impact the sense of respect and fairness for any section of society.
No form of conversation with the audience will be allowed.
The three best performances will be selected by the jury comprising a multilingual group of students. These will be based on the quality of content, stage performance, and audience response.
The jury's decision will be final and binding.
