Abstract: An initiative to help visually impaired as well as physically challenged people to create a platform where they can stay connected to real-world happenings. It is then studded up with some exciting features to engage a wider audience such as daily commuters.
New OverHEAR is a standalone powerful voice-controlled platform which enables powerful scratching of the web to convey the most exclusive news of different category. Voice commands allow the web app to dynamically interact with the user by reading news headlines with play, pause or stop functionality. The client can hover over different sections of news by making relevant voice searches. RSS allows the user to avail a special email subscription where he receives a summary of top events at a certain decided time interval. Manual searching helps overcome any occurrence of inaccessibility of microphone due to noise.
