Book Swap: World Book Day 2024

Book Swap: World Book Day 2024

In celebration of World Book Day 2024, the University Library System is happy to organise a Book Swap Programme, inviting our readers to share their beloved books and insights with our active reading community.

Guidelines

  • We encourage participants to bring gently-used books that they are willing to exchange. Please ensure each book is in good condition, free from torn pages, excessive markings, or damage.
  • You are welcome to bring books from any genre – fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and more. Feel free to bring multiple books for swapping.
  • Participation in the Book Swap Programme is open to all, and no registration is required. Simply bring your books and join in the swapping joy.
  • Upon arrival, present your books at the designated Book Swap Counter. For each book you contribute, you will receive a token that can be redeemed for another book from our available selection.
  • One token equals one book. All books exchanged should be of similar value and condition. In exceptional cases, the staff at the book swap counter will determine the value for swapping.
  • Please handle all books with care and respect. Treat others' books as you would want yours to be treated.
  • Any unclaimed books remaining at the end of the event will be donated to local schools, social forums, or used for future library initiatives.

Date: Tuesday, April 23, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Venue: University Library System, GICT Building, Central Campus
