Workshop on Understanding the Management of Living Heritage was held on 3-4 August 2019. The workshop had received an overwhelming registration from across India including cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, Kolkata, Surat, Bhavnagar etc. Centre for Heritage Management of Ahmedabad University is organising a series of workshops for multiple stakeholders. This first edition of the workshop aimed to inquire about the current challenges in managing urban living heritage. The workshop designed around two major areas: first, understanding the multiple layers of our urban heritage and second, international conventions including the 1972 World Heritage Convention as applicable in the contexts of our urban living heritage.
