Profile

Dr. Keyur D. Joshi is a researcher, teacher and learner in the fields relating to mechatronics engineering.
He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada in 2018 with the sub-area of machine vision. He was a teaching assistant at the university and taught mechatronics, instrumentation and control system related concepts. He has several publications on topics such as mechatronics, machine vision and digital image processing. His current research interests are machine vision, computer vision, fuzzy logic, deep machine learning and artificial intelligence.

  • Development of DivyaWear, a wearable haptic cueing system for visually impaired

    • Funding amount of Indian Rupees 9.9 Lakhs from University Research Board (URB), Ahmedabad University for the period of two years (starting from monsoon 2021)
  • Development of a vision-based multi degree of freedom feeding serial manipulator for the patients suffering from neurological disorders and infectious disease (COVID-19)
