Engineering students at Ahmedabad University received a double shot in the arm at the IEEE Gujarat Section WIE (Women In Engineering) Affinity Group Award Ceremony 2021. Under the mentorship of Sanket Patel and Kuntal Patel, professors at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the WIE (Women In Engineering) Affinity Group of IEEE Ahmedabad University Student Branch won the Outstanding WIE Student Branch Award. This Award is given to the WIE Student Branch that has conducted events encouraging women development and empowerment in the field of STEM during the last three years. Ahmedabad’s WIE Student Branch conducts several events, two of the flagship ones being the highly successful Women’s Day marathon, Marathonology, and Udgam – an entrepreneurship competition.
