Vaibhav Joshi Wins Best Paper Award at IEEE International Conference for Introducing Invertible Fuzzy-Based Transform for Watermarking

PhD Scholar at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Vaibhav Joshi, recently won the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Computing Analytics and Security Trends 2016 (CAST - 2016) at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP). His study introduces a novel and invertible fuzzy-based transform which randomise the watermark inside an image. While randomising the watermark, the transform does not affect the visual quality of a cover image, instead increasing the contrast of a cover image. Vaibhav says, "Two things are required for the application of the transform: Modes of an image histogram which introduce image dependency and a user-defined enhancement factor, which makes transform more robust against brute force attack." Mehul S Raval, Professor, School of Engineering and Applied Science, was a co-author on the paper.
