Students of BTech at the School of Engineering and Applied Science picked up vital design skills along with a perspective on satellite prototyping at this day-long workshop on 'Rocketry' held on October 15, 2022. It was organised by Akhand Rai, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering and Applied Science; Ujjaval Modi, Senior Laboratory Associate; and Vidit Ghelani, Teaching Assistant, in collaboration with the Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre. The workshop involved understanding rocket kinetics in the backdrop of Newton’s Laws of Motion, the structural aerodynamics of rockets, and rocket fluid mechanics. Each participant had to fabricate and assemble their rocket.
