Indian Diversity and Evolution of Composite Culture
Indian Diversity and Evolution of Composite Culture
The School of Engineering and Applied Science organised a talk on Indian Diversity and Evolution of Composite Culture under the Research Seminar Series. The talk was delivered by Professor Vinod Kumar Mall, a former Indian Police Service officer presently working with the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Professor Mall used social, cultural, and philosophical history to discuss India's rich composite culture in social life, music, and religious practices. He described how beautifully different traditions interacted with each other and evolved with time, putting India in a unique position as a secular and multicultural country. This talk was significant in the context of increasing social and communal conflicts in Indian society today.
