Pinch Technology is now well established for the design of energy systems. This workshop provides an introduction to the principles of pinch technology and the systematic procedures that have been developed to allow the targets to be achieved in practice. Methods for new heat exchanger network design will be developed. The ability to predict achievable energy targets for energy consumption which have a sound scientific basis is fundamental to the approach. Such targets can be used to scope and screen many design options effectively without having to carry out repeated designs. This workshop focuses on the design of heat exchanger networks using the Aspen Energy Analyser.
