India, as with many developing nations faces the dual challenge of economic development along with keeping its carbon emissions under control. But the Equation for me is starker in India's case: the third largest global polluter but with per capita emissions at less than an eighth of the global average and less than a tenth of the per capita emissions for developed western nations. We will discuss India's journey in its renewable energy targets, the sectors where India has faced difficulties and challenges and sectors where some success has been achieved. Goals as per India's intended nationally determined (indc) targets would be considered.
