Industrial visit: Zydus Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Ankleshwar

An industrial visit to Zydus Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Ankleshwar was organised by SEAS for 5th semester chemical engineering students on Saturday, 10th September 2016. Prof. Sridhar Dalai led the team with three teaching assistants. The main motive of the trip was to familiarize the students with the working of a plant in an industry. The students learnt about the basic unit operations and processes. They got to know how to use all the processes in a real world scenario. They spent maximum time in Unit-1 of the Ankleshwar plant. The distillation columns, solvent recovery plant, effluent treatment plant along with various processes were explained by the Zydus employees during the visit. It was indeed a reat learning experience for the students.
