Chemical Engineering lab too like other labs has advance equipment for the students to perform various kind of researches and experiments. It comprises –
Fluid Mechanics Laboratory
It is a fundamental field of study for students of chemical and mechanical engineering. The laboratory’s instruments are manufactured by GUNT Germany, a reputed international company. They enable meaningful experiments that complement course lectures, stimulate student interest and enable effective presentations of project materials.
This lab provides knowledge of various flow patterns, flow measuring devices and pumps. Some of the major experiments available include: determining volumetric flow rate with a hydraulic bench; Bernoulli's principle; the Osborne Reynolds experiment; horizontal outflow from openings; pipe friction for laminar and turbulent flow; a cavitation demonstrator; centrifugal pump, series/parallel connected pumps; measurement of jet apparatus, and more.
Chemistry Laboratory
This facility covers various aspects related to the physical, organic and inorganic chemistry, and is specifically designed to give students hands-on experience of their lecture materials.
Students are given specifically designed projects to familiarise and challenge them to use the lab’s technology in productive, innovative ways. Because lab safety is of primary importance, personal protective equipment and safety measures are made available and regularly inspected.
Chemical Engineering Laboratory - 1
This lab is intended for students in chemical engineering working on mechanical operation. Facilities here are targeted to simulating or otherwise enhancing understanding of mechanical operations as they are conducted in industry scenarios. The lab aims to advance a meaningful, elaborative understanding of chemical concepts and conceptual visualisation.
