Prayas Shala is a prototyping facility supported under NIDHI-PRAYAS which enables innovators to go through a cycle of imagination, design, prototyping, reflection, and iteration as a part of the process to find solutions to challenges or bring their ideas to reality.
The Prayas Shala at Ahmedabad University is equipped with the latest machines and equipment that enable startups to design and build their own technology.

Prayasshala enables Innovators in four major state of the art facilities with in house:
Design Cell
The first step to enable the translation of an innovative idea to a prototype is to make a 3D design of the product. The Prayasshala Fab Shop is equipped with Solidworks, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD software to meet the product design requirements. These 3D designing softwares are accompanied by high speed workstations with 24 inch monitors, and 16GB RAM and 2GB NVidia graphics cards that support them.
Additive Rapid Prototyping Section
Rapid prototyping is the fast fabrication of a physical part, model or assembly using 3D computer aided design (CAD). Additive rapid prototyping section of Prayasshala includes an FDM 3D printer with Ultimaker and Engineering Technique.
Subtractive Manufacturing Section
Subtractive manufacturing is a process with which 3D objects are constructed by successively cutting material away from a solid block of material. It is equipped with Surface Grinders, VMCs (Vertical Machining Centres), EDMs (Electrical Discharge Machines), and more.
Opto-Electronics Section
The Opto-ELectronics Section covers electronics fabrication starting from PCB prototypes to the final testing of the PCBs. It includes PCB Prototyping Machines, Robotic Arms, Artificial Intelligence Development Kits, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Metallurgical Microscopes, and more.
