ABSTRACT
Shri Pankaj Gupta is a Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, GIFT, Gandhinagar Since Nov 2013. He has been responsible for developing GIFT city as an IT services hub in FINTECH and e-governance space. He has over 25 areas of diversified experience in IT industry, Global Delivery operations, Sales and Marketing, System Integration, Technology Implementation, Procurement Execution and Management, Client Relationships, BOOT and operations, Strategic and transformational Consulting, Infrastructure Planning, Financing, and business process re-engineering, implementing Change Management, Process, Productivity and Efficiency improvements.
He has pioneered e governance solutions since 1998- the very early days of IT concept in government. Has a proven track record of early Identification, Seeding and Seizing new opportunities in India APAC Africa and UK through innovative unique offerings being a significant contributor in positioning TCS as “market leader” in the e-governance space with the framework solutions- for few, patents have been filed. The success of this initiative is evident in the adoption of the solution by many state and foreign governments and various national awards. He has lead the change, driven double digit growth, created a niche in market and globally trusted relationships and built industry coalitions to drive long term strategic partnerships and growth. He was awarded ‘The Captain of the Year 2009-2010’ for outstanding contribution to company growth and success by the Managing Director and CEO of the TCS Board.
He is a certified Senior Assessor by Tata Quality Management Services for the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) and has been associated for external assessments of various group companies of the Tata Group with a vision of driving overall excellence, growth, innovation and sustainability in business.
He has been presenting the success stories, new concepts, thoughts and directions in E-governance at National & International conferences and Academic institutions, engaged with executive MBA programs at IIM Ahmedabad for projects, associated with GTU and various engineering colleges for smart city, IOT and application of emerging technologies. He is also associated with various IT industry forums and is the Chairman of the Taskforce on smart cities and villages at CII western region council, consultative member of the GTU course on smart cities and have been visiting engineering colleges and various forums to share the experience and trigger new initiatives.
