K. Shashi Prabh received his B.Sc. Honours degree from Banaras Hindu University in 1993, and the M.S. and PhD degrees in Computer Science from New York University in 2001 and University of Virginia in 2007, respectively. He also has masters degrees in Physics from IIT Delhi and Boston College. From 2007 to 2013, he was at Real-Time Systems Research Center, an associated laboratory of INESC Porto, Portugal. From 2013 to 2018, he was a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Shiv Nadar University. After a brief stint at ABB Corporate Research Center in Bangalore, he has been a faculty member at Ahmedabad University since 2019.
He has made research contributions in the areas of wireless communication, body area networks and wireless sensor networks. His current research focus includes wireless networks, Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems. He is a member of ACM and IEEE. He received the 2013 GREENCOM best paper award.
