Students learned about complex automobile systems, including engines, transmission systems, steering systems, suspension systems, braking systems, and other automobile accessories, during their visit to the International Automobile Centre of Excellence, Gandhinagar, a joint venture between the Government of Gujarat and Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
The field visit, organised by Professor Akhand Rai from the School of Engineering and Applied Science as part of the course on Automobile Engineering, exposed students to some latest developments in the field, particularly electric vehicles. It gave them a platform to interact with domain experts and understand the multidisciplinary nature of automobile engineering technologies. Students studied the role of automation and sustainable practices in manufacturing processes.
