Process Modelling and Simulation using Aspen Plus
The School of Engineering and Applied Science at Ahmedabad University invites you for a Two-Day Workshop on Process Modelling and Simulation using Aspen Plus on March 3-4, 2023.
Aspen Plus is an advanced chemical optimisation software used by bulk, fine, specialty, biochemical, and petroleum industries, as well as the polymer industry for the design, operation, and optimisation of safe and profitable manufacturing facilities. Students often face challenges in applying their fundamentals of chemical engineering to optimise chemical processes in the absence of the knowledge of the Aspen Plus software.
This workshop will discuss
- building and troubleshooting flow sheet simulations with distillation columns, reactors, heat exchangers, compressors, and separators, and
- reducing the time for process design by analysing optimum parameters.
Course Instructors
- Dharamashi Rabari, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University
- Sridhar Dalai, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University
