Anil Karthik to Study Immunology at a German University

"It has always been a fascinating study of how our bodies combat diseases. The COVID-19 pandemic especially sparked my curiosity, inspiring me to learn about the body's fighting mechanism and conduct impactful research. Professor Pooja Shah's class on immunology has been engaging, making me more psyched about studying the immune system.," said Anil Karthik, Integrated MS Class of 2024.

Dream it and achieve it! Working passionately towards this motto, Anil completed his pursuit of continuing his graduate studies at the prestigious research institute Julius-Maximilian-Universität Würzburg in Germany. He will pursue a Master's in Immuno and Infection Biology at the University, which is associated with renowned Nobel laureates.

"Ahmedabad University laid the foundation to take this ambition forward. I am grateful to my professors at the University and my peer group for their unwavering support during this journey. I am excited for this new chapter and making everyone proud," said Anil.

Speaking about his way forward and choosing Germany, Anil said, "I decided to study at Julius-Maximilian-Universität Würzburg in Germany as I feel it is a perfect place for budding researchers, and its rich legacy makes it all the more remarkable. The country boasts an excellent education system and promising research opportunities, which will help me create a positive impact in immunology."
