Let G be a group. Two elements of group G are said to be z-conjugate if their centralizers are conjugate subgroups of G. This defines an equivalence relation on group G and these equivalence classes are called z-classes. In this talk, we will discuss the z-classes of the Alternating group and their connection with rational conjugacy classes of the same group.
