University Grants Office
The Grants Office was established to facilitate grant making at different levels. The office provides administrative assistance and guidance in proposal preparation, proposal submission, and oversight of all financial and non-financial aspects of the grants. The general functions of the grants office include:
- Providing timely information on funding opportunities
- Providing advice on grant schemes, application packages, and budgets
- Assisting the faculty in obtaining the requisite institutional support documents and approvals prior to submission
- Supporting the investigators with the administration of projects sponsored by either external agencies or by Ahmedabad University from the start of the project till the completion of the project
- Maintaining records of all externally and internally sponsored projects
- Checking submitted proposals to assure compliance with the University Research Board norms
- Organising talks/seminars to promote research at the University
- Faculty access the Grants Portal through AURIS
The Grants Office ensures that Ahmedabad University can exploit its full potential in obtaining and managing competitive research funding. The Grants Office is the central contact point for researchers at Ahmedabad University, offering advice and support with institutional and externally funded programmes, at the proposal and project implementation stage.
Pre-Award
- Curation of a detailed database of funding opportunities for research for different disciplines
- Newsletters with information on forthcoming submission deadlines
- Pre-submissions grant advice to campus researchers
- Institutional registration with funding organisations
- Institutional endorsement of proposals
- Working with our researchers to facilitate timely submissions of project proposals.
Post-Award
- Assistance with activating new grants and awards
- Coordination of annual, interim, and grant-end reporting to the agencies
- Managing transitions of our investigators through the lifetime of their grants
- Outreach to funding agencies supporting campus research
