Profile

Ashwin has over a decade of experience in teaching and research in Cultural Studies. He has worked in Higher Education grant design and policy review, alongside being a literary and academic translator. His research interest are primarily in Philosophy of Culture, Cultural Theory and Conceptual History. His work addresses questions related to the philosophical landscape of the issues involved in the study of human cultures. He has a PhD in Cultural Studies from Manipal University (2011).

Ashwin has worked at the Higher Education Cell at Centre for the Study of Culture and Society, Bangalore, where he was heading the Regional Language Resources Initiative, involved in enhancing the use of Indian language resources in higher education as also the digital footprint of Indic languages. He was associated with Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai, as a consultant for their higher education portfolio.
