Aditya Kanth to Discuss Conservation Education at Conservation Conclave 2023 at CSMVS Museum Mumbai
Aditya Kanth, Assistant Professor, Centre for Heritage Management, is an Invited Speaker at the national conference, Conservation Conclave 2023, on February 23-25, 2023. The conference is being organised by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) Mumbai, in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL), and Andrew W Mellon Foundation. It will discuss the future of conservation in India and conclude its Indian Conservation Fellowship Programme.
Professor Kanth will discuss education in a Conservation Education and Professional Development session, with Sreekumar Menon, Leon Levy Conservation Centre, Nagaur; Satish Pandey, National Museum Institute, New Delhi; and Savita Monie, Program Manager, ICFP, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. His area of research is the scientific characterisation of art and archaeological objects and the development of conservation methodologies. He teaches Heritage Documentation, Conservation and Preservation Science, and Environment and Climate Change courses at Ahmedabad University.
