Professor Rahul Singh wins the BRICS Economic Research Award 2021
Rahul Singh, Assistant Professor at the Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University, has won the BRICS Economic Research Award 2021 for his doctoral dissertation "Essays in International Trade in Post Liberalization India". Instituted by the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), the award recognises advanced doctoral research in economics relevant to the member nations of BRICS. The award comprises a citation, medal.
Professor Singh holds a PhD in Economics from IIM Bangalore and completed his doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Rupa Chanda. He specialises in applied microeconomics and his research interests include International Trade and Development Economics. The award-winning dissertation examines the effects of non-tariff measures and Chinese imports on the performance of manufacturing firms in India.
