Ahmedabad University's Big Win at the MSIM Global Case Competition
A team of students from the Amrut Mody School of Management's Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) programme secured third place in the prestigious MSIM Global Case Competition, organised by the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, internationally recognised for its academic quality. The winning team, including Meha Parekh, Soham Pathak, Juhi Saluja, and Mansi Tiwari, showcased exceptional innovation and intelligence through their proposed AI-driven solutions for e-commerce operational challenges under the theme "Transforming E-commerce with AI."
Over 60 teams from India’s top universities participated in the two-day event held in Delhi in September. Under the competition's theme, "AI in Business," participants were tasked with exploring how Artificial Intelligence could revolutionise company operations and enhance organisational performance in today’s rapidly changing world.
Out of all the submissions, only 10 teams advanced to the final round, with Ahmedabad University standing out by having two teams—one from the BBA programme and another from the Integrated MBA programme. Some of the prestigious universities with which Ahmedabad University competed in the final round included the Visveswaraya Institute of Technology in Bengaluru, RV College in Bengaluru, Shree Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, and Gokhale Institute for Politics and Economics, Pune.
This achievement reflects our students' hard work and talent while also demonstrating the support and guidance provided by Ahmedabad University's dedicated faculty. Professors from the Amrut Mody School of Management worked closely with the teams, helping them refine their concepts and create compelling presentations, ultimately leading to winning ideas. The victory highlighted the collaborative educational environment fostered at the Amrut Mody School of Management, where faculty-student collaborations within and beyond the classroom enable students to excel on the global stage.
