Economics and Public Policy

Supratim Das Gupta obtained his Bachelors in Economics (BSc) and Masters in Economics (MSc) from the University of Calcutta in Kolkata, India, in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, USA, in 2013. Prior to joining Ahmedabad University in 2019, he was employed at Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico from 2014 - 2018. He has served at Dissertation Advisory Committee (DAC) for doctoral students and has regularly advised undergraduate students at Ahmedabad University. He is a reviewer for prestigious journals such as The Energy Journal and International Journal of Energy Sector Management. 

He enjoys interacting with people and sharing opinions. He speaks Bengali (native), Hindi, English and Spanish. When time permits, he enjoys running and cycling.
