Professor Subhankar Saha completed his PhD in the Production and Operations Management area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. His research broadly encompasses sustainable operations management, focusing on the agriculture and healthcare sectors, employing both empirical and analytical approaches, specifically utilising econometric methods and non-cooperative game theoretic models.
Professor Saha has presented his research at premier operations management conferences in the United States and India, where he has garnered significant accolades. His academic excellence is further evidenced by his PhD awards, including the WIPRO Sustainability Fellowship Award and the TATA Chemicals Fellowship Award, in recognition of his outstanding work in sustainability.
Professor Saha has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Subsequently, he worked with Andrew Yule & Company Limited (a manufacturing-based public sector undertaking) in West Bengal, where he served in the Supply Chain Management Department for more than five years. Additionally, he completed the Executive MBA programme at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
