Professor Mohapatra is seasoned analytics professional with over 25 years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, and business analytics. She is a subject matter expert in applied analytics and AI, with strong cross-functional leadership competencies in solutions, delivery, business development, growth and transformation strategy, and consulting across various functional areas and industry verticals. Her expertise includes designing, developing, and implementing high-end analytical solutions for data-driven decision-making to enhance business outcomes, as well as conceptualising insight-driven innovations across the value chain.
She has made significant contributions to thought leadership within Analytics Centers of Excellence, including building solutions and developing analytics products and platforms, resulting in multiple successful implementations. She has driven the growth of existing businesses and secured new business opportunities. In delivery leadership, she has led project, people, and programme management, along with quality, risk, and knowledge management. She has consistently handled client engagements through offshore onsite service models for several years.
Professor Mohapatra's career spans both industry and academia. She has been associated with premier institutions such as the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and Mundra Institute of Communication and Advertisement (MICA) in her early career, as well as global organisations including Symphony Services (Genpact), Fidelity, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Before joining Ahmedabad University, she was a Professor of Practice at Shiv Nadar University.
