An academician with an interest in the area of Strategy, Kunal has been associated with the school since 2008. He is a doctorate in Management, with his thesis on ‘Assessment of Enablers and Inhibitors of Collaboration in SMEs in Pharmaceutical Clusters in the State of Gujarat, India’.
He is currently the faculty chair of the Career Development Centre for graduate programmes of Amrut Mody School of Management.
He has presented research papers at reputed conferences like ISRDS, 2015, Trondheim, Norway, IIM- Indore, and IIM- Kozhikode.
His research interest lies in Business Clusters and SME competitiveness, as well as Multi-Sided Platforms.

Kunal has teaching experience of more than 12 years. He teaches courses in the area of Strategic Management at the undergraduate as well as the graduate level. He has developed an elective on Strategies for Firms in Emerging Markets and also taught an elective on Advanced Business Strategy which focuses on various aspects of competitive dynamics in the industry. He has also taught a course on Fundamentals of Management in the Masters for Heritage Management Program.
He has taught Competitive Strategy in Executive Management Program for JMC Projects Ltd. (One year program) - an Organization Based Program, catering specifically to the need of the organization with specific inputs on the construction industry.
