Profile

Dr. D N Padia has her post graduation in 'Business Management' and her doctoral research was on 'Efficacy of Social Advertisements'.  She was awarded the Chief Minister’s Fellowship (2010-11) in the area of ‘Human Development’ under the auspice of Department of Planning, Government of Gujarat and was involved in the process of preparing District Human Development Reports for five districts of Gujarat State. She has also been a Senior Consultant to Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat in 2013. She has been researching on Societal Marketing, Developmental Issues, Governmental Advertisements, Women Entrepreneurship, Gender role in organizations and Social and Ethical Responsibilities of organizations and institutions. She has 17 years of academic experience and over 5 years of organizational experience in managing and consulting in the areas of Marketing Management, Project Training, Advertising and Developmental Reporting. She has been offered Associateship 2015-18 at Inter-University Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences (IUC), Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla.

Previously she has worked as a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad for 3 years in various areas like Indian Railways Chair, Communications Group and Gender Resource Center.  She has served the Department of Commerce, Saurashtra University, Rajkot for a period of 4 years (1996-2000), as a Lecturer of Commerce. She was also a visiting faculty at Department of Business Management, Saurashtra University for 2 years (1998-2000). She has been a consultant for Marketing at Wish Computer Academy, Rajkot and Training consultant to Hi-tech Ltd, Ahmedabad.
