Mallika Sarabhai interacting with students

Mallika Sarabhai, the world-renowned dancer, choreographer, activist, and writer, visited the university on 30th August 2018 for a special interaction with the students of poetry on her experiences. Her presentation on "Poetry and Dance" showcased her various experiments of performing/ choreographing poetry using various dance forms. In an hour and a half long discussion with students and faculty Mallika discussed the shared history of dance and poetry, the creativity and interpretation of poetry through dance, as well as the challenges of form and tradition in poetry and dance.
