The webinar will highlight the required mindset shifts, analytical tools, and leadership practices that prepare managers for general management roles. An academician with an interest in the area of Strategy and Marketing, Kunal has been associated with the school since 2008. He is a doctorate in Management, with his thesis on ‘Assessment of Enablers and Inhibitors of Collaboration in SMEs in Pharmaceutical Clusters in the State of Gujarat, India’.
He is currently the Chair of the BSM (H) Programme of Amrut Mody School of Management. Earlier, he was the faculty chair of the Career Development Centre for graduate programmes of the Amrut Mody School of Management.
His teaching interests lie in the domain of Strategy and Marketing at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also taught the Developing a Strategic Perspective module to middle-level managers as part of the University's GROW Executive Education programme. In recognition of his contributions to teaching and curriculum development, he was awarded the university-wide Excellence in Teaching Award in February 2025.
He has presented research papers at reputed conferences - both in India and abroad.
His research interests are at the intersection of Startups and SME competitiveness, Sustainability and Strategy, and Social Entrepreneurship.
His industry engagement includes project consulting and advisory roles with firms across both manufacturing and service sectors, with a focus on business development and strategic growth. Kunal has also mentored several Route Camp Projects of the MBA Programme.
