Labour markets are divided into primary (high-paying, stable jobs) and secondary (low-paying, unstable jobs) segments.
Education helps individuals access better jobs, but does not guarantee entry into the primary sector. Factors like skills, institution quality, and social background also matter.
As a result, many educated workers face underemployment, and inequalities persist despite higher education levels.
