VentureStudio Convenes India’s Innovation Ecosystem at the Ahmedabad Innovation Summit 2026

India’s startup ecosystem is among the most vibrant globally, driven in large measure by young innovators and first time entrepreneurs. Building on this momentum, Ahmedabad University’s incubation hub, VentureStudio​​​​​​, convened leaders from across academia, industry, government, and the startup ecosystem at the Ahmedabad Innovation Summit 2026 to reflect on India’s innovation future.

Hosted with the support of the Government of Gujarat, the summit created a platform to examine how ideas move from classrooms and laboratories into enterprises, how sustainability must be embedded into innovation pathways, and how institutions can build enduring support systems for founders at the earliest stages. Discussions focused on the practical enablers of innovation, including access to early stage facilities, structured mentorship, institutional backing, and alignment between policy and practice.

Established in 2011 in collaboration with Stanford University’s Center for Design Research, VentureStudio has emerged as one of India’s leading university anchored incubators. Recognised by the Department of Science and Technology and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council for incubation, bio innovation, and prototyping, and designated as the Government of Gujarat’s nodal institute for implementing state startup schemes and policies, VentureStudio has supported over 170 startups across diverse technological domains.

The summit also featured a startup and ecosystem expo, where VentureStudio supported startups as well as student and alumni led enterprises, showcased their work. The range of ventures on display underscored how university anchored incubation can translate research, student ideas, and early prototypes into investable and scalable enterprises.
