Ramanujan Fellow Subhash Rajpurohit Joins Editorial Board of CO+RE Journal
Associate Professor, School of Arts and Sciences, and Ramanjuan Fellow Subhash Rajpurohit, has joined the editorial board of the journal Current Opinion in Insect Science published by Netherlands-based publisher Elsevier. The highly-reputed journal (IF5.1) is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals. All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy - of editorial excellence, high impact and global reach.
An ecological and evolutionary physiologist, Professor Rajpurohit is passionate about understanding species’ response to climate change, and describes his approach as ‘macrophysiology to molecules’. He has been involved in using Indian drosophilids as a natural laboratory of evolutionary biology, and in leading long-term studies on tropical drosophilids. He is the principal investigator at Ahmedabad University’s Experimental Ecology and Evolution Lab (EEE Lab).
The journal is divided into twelve major sections, each covering the latest advances and trends in the Insect Science field, and offering views of experts on recent literature in the space. These sections include insect genomics, development and regulation, ecology, parasites/parasitoids/biological control, pests and resistance, behavioural ecology, vectors and medical and veterinary entomology, social insects, global change biology, molecular physiology, neuroscience, and a special section.
As an editorial board member at Current Opinion in Insect Science, Professor Rajpurohit will advise on timely content within specific sections based on his knowledge and expertise.
