Seminar and Lecture Series

Speaker

The ability to make peace and adopt an ahimsa philosophy obviously emanates from the brain and its various structures. I will present the hypothesis that one particular region may be more responsible than areas for the ability to conduct peaceful negotiations, make peace, and follow an ahimsa philosophy; that region may be the retrosplenial cortex. This lecture is designed as a basic introduction to this idea and requires no knowledge of the brain whatsoever.
