This talk explores how ethics can humanise artificial intelligence (AI) integration to advance peace and well being in education. It examines how AI affects learners’ agency, autonomy, and dignity, and also explores the relationship between AI and the ubiquity of digital technologies in shaping human holistic wellbeing. The talk discusses a new socio-technical model of ethical AIED that integrates human values into technological design and implementation, envisioning education systems where AI nurtures empathy, mental and emotional balance, and inclusive, peaceful human flourishing.
