The Centre for Heritage Management aims to make heritage management a recognized academic discipline, and towards that end, it aims to collaborate with reputable institutes, organizations and NGOs internationally and nationally.
The Centre has already entered into several Memoranda of Understanding with an aim to strategically proceed towards developing an international standard curriculum for the masters programmes in Heritage Management. Few other objectives of such memoranda are creating mutual exchange of expertise in areas associated with heritage management, research and organising short duration programmes.
Along with a wide range of University’s collaboration, the Centre connects with University of Valladolid (Spain), University of Ferrara (Italy), National Center for Preservation Training Technology (US Dept. of INPS, USA), University of East Anglia (UK), The University of Applied Sciences, Nysa (Poland), Tourism Departments of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat and Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering (Pune, India) to promote cooperation towards joint activities related to heritage management.
The Centre is an Associate Member of The EuroIndia Centre and is in touch with institutions in South East Asia for collaborative efforts as well as reputed museums and institutes in India.The Centre is now an executive member of the Asian Academy for Heritage Management (AAHM) - Executive Committee, founded by UNESCO, to strengthen higher education in cultural heritage management. The centre is also a bureau member of Asia Pacific Higher Education Network for ICH (APHEN-ICH).
