Shilpa Bhupathiraju, Visiting Professor

Shilpa Bhupathiraju

Visiting Professor

PhD (Tufts University)

[email protected]

Research Interests: Nutritional Epidemiology, Dietary Patterns, Cardiovascular Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Metabolomics, Proteomics, Dietary Biomarkers, Precision Nutrition

Profile

Dr Bhupathiraju is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Nutrition at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an Associate Epidemiologist at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her research focuses on dietary and lifestyle predictors of cardiometabolic diseases, especially among high-risk populations such as South Asians, Asian Indians, and Hispanics. She utilises cutting-edge omic technologies to identify dietary biomarkers and mechanisms through which diet influences disease risk.
