• Powering impactful innovations: support the development of innovations that solve real-world challenges in healthcare, agriculture, environment and other areas
• Creating world-class infrastructure: contribute equipment and infrastructure to strengthen our facilities
• Workshops and Training Programmes: contribute to organising skill development and knowledge building programmes for students, researchers, innovators and emerging entrepreneurs
• Promoting science education: contribute to promoting science, technology and entrepreneurship among students

Eligibility of VentureStudio to receive contributions and tax exemptions

VentureStudio (officially, Ahmedabad University Support Foundation), is a Technology Business Incubator, within an academic organisation, registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (formerly Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956). It is registered under Section 12A and donors are eligible to claim tax exemption under Section 80G, of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 (“Act”), certain companies are required to spend a specific proportion of their profits for social welfare activities as per Schedule VII of the Act, for the benefit of the society. Eligible companies can contribute to CSR initiatives for various activities such as promoting education, environmental sustainability, eradicating poverty, hunger and malnutrition.

Under Schedule VII, item (ix)(a) of the Companies Act, 2013 (“Act”), Incubators are eligible to receive CSR contributions.
