About the Speaker

Murli Thirumale is a General Manager of the Cloud Native Business Unit for Pure Storage following the acquisition of Portworx, the leader in Kubernetes Storage and Data Management, where he was the co-founder and CEO. Previously, he held roles of General Manager of the Data Protection business unit at Dell after the acquisition of Ocarina Networks, where he was also the co-founder and CEO; Group Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Solutions Group at Citrix, and co-founder and CEO of Net6. Prior to venturing into entrepreneurship, Murli spent 15 years at Hewlett-Packard, where he served as General Manager of the Timing Solutions for Communications Operation.

Murli has a Bachelor of Technology from IIT-BHU in India and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
