Kitchen gardening has recently surged in popularity, becoming a source of fresh, safe produce and medicinal plants, seen now as a necessity rather than a hobby. It offers both health and economic benefits. However, those interested in starting a kitchen garden need proper knowledge about plant suitability for various spaces, climates, and other parameters.
The project proposes an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), followed by a prototype for an online platform (mobile application) that helps users grow kitchen plants at home. The model includes instructions for growing plants suitable for various space constraints (flats or bungalows), along with personalised recommendations based on local weather conditions (such as sunlight availability and humidity) and plant growth stages. Additiоnаlly, the prototype aims to incorporate additional features like rеmindеrs fоr wаtеring and mаintеnаncе, аlоng with tracking thе nursеriеs fоr procuring soil, sееds, еtc. Users can interact with other plant enthusiasts in the platform's virtual community space by asking and answering queries, sharing their plantation journey, and more.
