Jogin Desai’s Cell Therapy Firm Eyestem Wins Top Innovator Award



Cell Therapy firm Eyestem won the Top Innovator Award at the ET Startup Awards 2022 recently for work around incurable eye diseases. Jogin Desai, Founder and CEO, Eyestem, is Advisory Board member of the School of Arts and Sciences. The Bengaluru-based firm won the innovation award for Eyecyte-RPE which aims to treat Dry AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration), the largest cause of incurable blindness in people above 60 that affects approximately 170 million people worldwide.
