Dixit Raiyani (Integrated MS ‘22) Joins Penn State to Pursue Masters in Biotechnology

Ahmedabad Alumnus Dixit Raiyani, Integrated MS in Life Sciences, Class of 2022, School of Arts and Sciences, has secured admission to The Pennsylvania State University’s Masters in Biotechnology at the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences. He speaks of how the academic rigour, research opportunities, and practice-oriented learning at Ahmedabad University equipped him to pursue his higher education in life sciences. He says about the University’s holistic approach to learning, “Faculty and senior students at Ahmedabad University helped me grow academically and professionally. I would like to especially thank Professor Ashutosh Kumar for providing me the opportunity to write a book chapter and a review article, and also to PhD scholar Abdulkhalik Mansuri for guiding me with his research knowledge.” 

Dixit has been a meritorious student at the University. He says, “I was awarded a 100 per cent merit-based scholarship for two successive years and honoured with the Dean’s Recognition Award in 2021 at the University. The University has nurtured me in every way. The experience has been rich in terms of not just academics but also sharpening my leadership qualities.” He was closely involved in organising various events of the Social Service Forum and the Science Festival, Chiasma.
