Rucha Sarwate is a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) registered clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. After completing an MPhil in medical and social psychology from the Central Institute of Psychotherapy, Ranchi, Rucha obtained a PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her research was focused on the application of mindfulness-based programmes on adolescents.
She has taught in the Masters Programme in Psychology at Symbiosis College, Pune, and worked as a Senior Research officer in the ‘MANAS: Mental Health App’ project, a Government of India initiative, at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Her research, intertwined with her deep commitment to practice, is focused on the various mindfulness-based methods and therapies in Psychology.
In her counselling, she practises an eclectic approach that is informed by mindfulness and wisdom traditions of Psychotherapy.
