Research Interests: Quantum Topology, Algebra, Algebraic Topology
Pravakar Paul graduated from Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore in mathematics (BMath) in 2015. He received his PhD from The University of Iowa in 2023. He taught several undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics at the University. Outside academia, he is also interested in photography, hiking, and yoga.
His primary research interest involves quantum topology. More specifically, he is interested in Khovanov homology, and its interaction with other link homology theories and low dimensional topology. He is also interested in the Khovanov homotopy type.
