Kikku Sharma is a doctoral candidate at the division of Biological and Life Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences, who also qualified for the CSIR-UGC NET in 2018. Her research is focused on the area of molecular parasitology, especially in the context of Leishmania donovani. She is working towards identifying a novel gene which is involved in the cell death mechanism of these unicellular, kinetoplastid protozoan parasites. She employs molecular biology techniques to address my research questions.
