Writing Writers' Lives

To what extent is it fair to read literature as a biographical or autobiographical source? And how can one use fiction as a guide to history? These are some of the questions Professor Patrick French and Professor Maya Jasanoff will address in their conversation about "Writing Writer's Lives", as they discuss their respective biographical works on V S Naipaul and Joseph Conrad.
